It seems as though even when two year olds can't completely communicate, they still get their message across. In fact, maybe more people should talk like a toddler. You know, eliminate the extras.
"Mommy, where daddy go?"
"What that do?"
"No..."
"Choo-choo go round"
Yesterday he was with my mom and as she was dropping him off in the child center at the YMCA she asked him for a kiss to which Ben promptly replied No. My mom asked again for just one little kiss and Ben responded again with a very enthusiastic NO.
So my mom asked him if he was all out of kisses and he told her, "kiss go neigh neigh." Well, she certainly got the point.
One more quick one. We have this bright yellow pool noodle that has a bend on the end with ears attached to make it look like a dog. Rob and Ben often play with the puppy. Rob will hold it behind is back and pretend he can't find puppy and Ben will point and giggle. So a couple of weeks ago Rob and Ben were playing (probably wrestling) and Ben took puppy and whapped Rob over the head with it.
Rob looked at Ben with a stern look and Ben, without missing a beat, pointed at the pool noodle and said, "Daddy, Puppy."
As the grandma, I couldn't be prouder. I think we need to get an agent for our Ben.
